Weird Weekend North regular Rob Gandy has undertaken considerable research into phantom hitchhikers and road ghosts in Lincolnshire and has come up with some amazing testimonies from witnesses. He has written these up in his ‘Strange Fenomena – A Lincolnshire Casebook’ series in Fortean Times. There are nine articles in the series with seven published by February 2022.

Rob is keen to repay the good citizens of Scunthorpe and Lincolnshire with a pro bono presentation detailing all of these local stories to raise funds for a local charity. The main focus will be stories from Scunthorpe itself together with a close look at The Ruskington Horror, plus an array of other experiences from across the county. This should make for a fascinating and entertaining evening. The charity being supported is Lindsey Lodge Hospice.

Rob has arranged for the event to take place at 7.45pm on Wednesday 9th March 2022 at Heslam Park Rugby Club, Ashby Road, Scunthorpe DN16 2AG. It is appreciated that many people will not be able to buy tickets from local outlets and therefore advance tickets can be bought from this website on a print-at-home basis. Tickets only cost £5

If you are within travelling distance of Scunthorpe then this is an event not to be missed and is all in a good cause. The more people that attend the more money for the hospice so please let your friends know about the event!

Deadline for an internet ticket is 7pm Tuesday 8th March

Tickets can still be bought at the door on the day of the talk at a price of £6
